Semi-automated Hypothesis Generation

I’ve linked in Bradley Voytek’s blog before, and on this topic – big data – now, how do we get hypotheses out of it?  He and his wife are about to publish one such method, and he describes it, and the trials and tribulations here.  (There’s a link to a preprint there also).

Something I have been thinking about (and I’m not the first obviously) that there need to be ways to wade through the masses of research that is produced.  Too much for even the most formidable brain, and it is becoming more of it.

Perhaps this is one way.

... because if I'm in a room with a second person, I want to be reasonably sure I'm the crazier one.
