A couple of different aspects of accessibility.

Protons for breakfast has some objections to Open Access.  

One of the points is that paying for publication is a little bit like what advertisers do (and we know how much we can trust them).  Perhaps. 

Nathan Jurgenson has a different angel – obliquely related.  In his inside higher ed article he argues for making science more accessible – by writing it more accessibly.
